This wine is made with grapes from our own vineyards. The vines tend to be planted on steep mountain slopes on slate soils. Harvesting is by hand using 10-15 kg boxes. The grapes then pass through a sorting table for careful selection. First the grapes are de-stemmed and then selected berry by berry. The grapes are separated according to variety.

The grapes undergo a cold soak before fermentation in 300 l French oak barrels (Q. Petrea), fine-grained and lightly toasted. The grapes are separated according to variety. The wine is aged for six months on its lees with daily “battonages”. Naturally cold stabilised (according to the seasonal temperatures).

Clos Martina is then aged in bottle for a further year.

COLOUR: light pale yellow with greenish notes.

NOSE: intense in the glass, with toasty aromas mixed with some flintiness. After some aeration, it expresses freshness, highlighting the fruity notes of pear and apple. After some time, the wine clearly evolves providing complicity between notes of candied fruit, hazelnuts and spices.

PALATE: after a powerful entrance, the wine lingers on and on. It displays dried fruit on the whole is complex and well structured.
